VISTARA CHARITABLE TRUST

When plans change.

Donations are voluntary and generally final. Here is what happens if something goes wrong with a payment.

Donation cancellations

Donations are voluntary and are generally treated as final once the payment has been completed. If you made a donation by mistake, contact us within 7 days of the transaction and we will review your request.

Duplicate, failed or incorrect payments

If you were charged twice for the same donation, entered a wrong amount, or your account was debited for a transaction that did not complete, report it within 7 days of the transaction. Include the date, the amount and the transaction reference (UTR or order ID). Once we have verified it with the payment provider, the extra or incorrect amount will be refunded.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are started within 7 working days of approval and are made only to the original payment method used for the donation. After a refund has been started, it can take a further 5–10 working days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Once a refund has been started, ask us for its reference so you can follow it up with your bank. Starting a refund and the money reaching your account are separate steps.

Refunds we cannot make

We cannot refund a donation that has already been used for the trust’s charitable work, or one for which a tax-deduction receipt has already been issued, except where the law requires it. We never make refunds in cash or to an account other than the one the donation came from.
